Exclusive Interview with Jessica Boscarini From HealthyFitFabMoms
Jessica Boscarini is known as the founder of Healthy Fit FaB Moms to more than 100,000 fans on Instagram. She is a Holistic Nutrionist, Fitness Instructor, and Mom of 5. She is renowned for her family-friendly health and fitness tips and product reviews!
Jessica has made it her mission to help moms and moms-to-be on their health, nutrition, and fitness journeys. And Today we get to have a one on one with this amazing mom!
1) When did you start social media/blogging? What was your motivation for getting started?
I started blogging back in 2009 to mesh my love of writing with that of health and fitness. However, I didn’t start doing it on a regular basis until 2012, right after I had earned my Master’s in Holistic Nutrition and had stopped working as a Personal Chef, full-time. At that point, I didn’t look at it as a job, but more of a creative outlet to hopefully reach more people who were interested in becoming Nutrition clients.
2)Who is your primary Audience? What do you think keeps them coming back to your page?
My primary audience are moms and/or women who are interested in feeling their best — on both the inside and out! I make it a point to make being healthy part of a lifestyle that is easily attainable if you put your mind to it!
3) Do you see yourself as an influencer and if so what does that mean to you?
I truthfully don’t like that word, as it has a negative connotation for a lot of people — as they like to throw it around — but yes, I do my best to influence others through my example of living a healthy lifestyle and raising my kids with health at the forefront of their lives, as well.
4) What were you like growing up? Did you know you wanted to be a fitness and health instructor? Where you big into sports?
I grew up as a gymnast so yes, being healthy and active has pretty much always been a part of me. With that said, I didn’t truly know anything about nutrition as I was anorexic as a teenager, thinking that eating no fat was actually good for me!
5) when did you get into fitness? What made you get into fitness and health lifestyle?
After being a gymnast, I also dabbled in many other sports, with surfing becoming the one I took to most. I even worked at a surf shop, taught surf lessons, and was on my High School Surf Team! However, I didn’t truly start working out (at a gym) until I was in my early 20’s and fell in love! I ended up doing power yoga on almost a daily basis, did cardio a ton, and eventually became a Personal Trainer a few years later!
On the nutrition side, after battling anorexia and being told I couldn’t have children if I kept it up, I began to change my life around, studying about eating and being healthy and all that entails. This eventually led to a very diverse set of knowledge, with family and friends constantly asking me advice on eating and being healthier! Fast-forward a couple years and I ended up going back to school to get my Master’s in Holistic Nutrition — and the rest is history, as they say!
6) What is your favorite Brand Collaboration?
Hmmmm, this is a hard one! I have had so many good ones! I’ve worked with NowFoods for several years now and really enjoy their array of products and what they stand for, so that has to be up there ☺.
